Application packages for Bachelor’s courses at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv are expected from July, 1 till August, 20, 2011, at the International Relations Institute from July, 1 till July, 31, 2011 at the following address: Preparatory Faculty, Room 71, 36 Vasylkivska str., Kyiv, Ukraine. Admission is until August, 25, 2011 provided no fewer than 25 applications for a particular course are submitted to ensure study groups with Russian as instruction language are complete.

Application packages for Master’s, Specialist’, courses, entrance exams and a competition based admission are done by the relevant Faculties and Institutes from July, 1 until July, 16, 2011.Enrollment is open until August, 25, 2011 provided no fewer than 25 applications for a particular course are submitted to ensure study groups with Russian as instruction language are complete.

Application package list to be submitted to admission commission:
a) application to Rector’s name (attached);
b) questionnaire properly filled in (attached);
c) copy of education certificate with an academic transcript (subjects and points);
d) copy of a national passport (or a passport replacement);
e) copy of a birth certificate;
f) health certificate signed and stamped by an official health care body of the country of origin, which should be issued no later than 2 months prior to arrival to Ukraine;
g) medical certificate on absence of HIV;
h) insurance policy on urgent medical care (except for the foreign citizens coming from the countries with which Ukraine has signed the contracts on free urgent medical care) (acquired at the University);
i) 10 photos (of 3 õ 4 cm of size);
j) Return open date ticket valid for up to a year.

Listed in pp. "c", "e", "f" documents should be:

  • certified according to the legislation of the country of origin and properly legalized, if international agreements signed by Ukraine do not state otherwise;
  • translated into Ukrainian language (and the translation duly certified).

Once notified on admission to Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv a student is expected to personally submit his/her passport with entry type “O” (education) visa. While crossing the Ukraine’s border, CIS citizens (if no visa required) should state “education” in “the purpose of visit” line of a migration card. This card must be registered with border passport control.

Education fees (per year):

  • full-time - 35, 000 UAH (about 4, 400 USD);
  • part-time – 25, 000 UAH (about 3, 200 USD);
  • PhD: full-time – 40, 000 UAH (about 5, 000 USD)
    part-time – 30, 000 UAH (about 3, 750 USD).
